Waiting for something to show me a sign
My heart aches for your touch again
Wanting you back as my best friend
Picturing all the things that we used do
But missing you more than I wanted to
Seeing the signs that were you, all around
As I stop to listen to the sounds
I guess you could say I miss you a little
More than I'd want to say as I feel my soul unsettled
But since you've been gone I do see
All the things that remind me of you in my memory
Is that you I see sitting in that chair
Are you my imagination or are you really there
These are just things that seem to be
Since we departed and you are away from me
A song comes on for me to hear
Bringing back a thought and causing me to shed a tear
Guess I'll always have some of you deep inside
As we try somehow to carry on with our lives
But you will always be in my thoughts I will say
